É seres alma e sangue e vida em mim
E dizê-lo cantando a toda a gente!

It’s International Poetry Day and I felt the need to leave you with one of my favorite poems, by a portuguese poet from the 20th century. I couldn’t find a translation that I liked, but I can leave you with a sung version of this poem: www.youtube.com/embed/ShUdXlHaW2w?hl=es_ES&autoplay=1

Oh my gosh, the shame! I haven’t uploaded a photo in forever! I shot a lot, edited a ton, but eh, we all know how it goes sometimes.
I had the bright idea to go to Death Valley for a shoot/mini vacation. I went for 1 1/2 days in 125 degree heat…nearly passed out…but it was so worth it. The sand dunes were my favorite. I did 2 shoots on them, the other I haven’t even edited yet. I’m sort of up to my ears with deadlines and this and that, but none of that matters when I’m excited about a picture :) Creating is the only thing that keeps me going, and I’m so grateful for that.
I have a new exhibition opening on Thursday in Laguna Beach at the JoAnne Artman Gallery, all newer 2011 works. I’m really excited to see this show hanging. It is really rewarding seeing new work in print. Details on my website. I’ll be there from 6-8 :-D
